The present invention relates to a side cover (12) for a structural part (123) of a bed frame and to a side member (13) for such a side cover together with a bed having a structural bed frame capable of accommodating said side cover (12) and/or said side member (13). The side cover, alternatively the side member, is provided with fastening means (15, 17) for attaching the side cover to the structural part (1, 2, 3) of the bed frame. Thereby, the structural part of the bed frame may be provided with any covering as intended by the user, and furthermore the side cover (12) may be detached in order to replace the side cover (12) by another side cover, or the side cover may be detached in order to dean the side cover and subsequently re-attach the side cover (12).
