PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein when exhaust gas passes in a clearance between silencer panels, since the exhaust gas is a turbulent flow, the pressure of the exhaust gas acts on the silencer panels 4d from left to right and from right to left alternately to cause a sound absorbing material 24 to strike on perforated plates 22 on every vibration to the right and left and then fibers of the sound absorbing material to be forced out gradually from holes of the perforated plates 22. SOLUTION: A gas turbine exhaust silencer reduces noise by passing exhaust gas emitted from a gas turbine through a splitter type exhaust silencer with a plurality of juxtaposed silencer panels in a flow direction. The silencer panels 4d are supported in sandwiched form by an upper support part 5 disposed in a given position on a duct ceiling surface of the exhaust silencer. An upper support part 6 on an exhaust silencer duct lower surface is mounted with guide rails 11 having an access opening 11d for the silencer panel and supporting the silencer panel in a longitudinally slidable position. The guide rails 11 are provided with detachable stoppers 14 and 15 for fixing the silencer panel, in given upstream and downstream setting positions along the exhaust gas flow.
