PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothed belt having a tooth shape improved to be elongate an average usable time. SOLUTION: This toothed belt 1 includes a body 2 formed of an elastomer material and having reinforcing cords 3, a tooth row 4 having a prescribed pitch P and divided by multiple teeth 5 integrally extending from one surface of the body, and a cover cloth 9 stuck to the surface of the teeth, and the tooth has a resistance section S and a pressure angle (alpha). This toothed belt is characterized in that the pitch ranges from 7 mm to 11 mm, the ratio of the resistance section to the pitch (S/P) ranges from 0.62 to 0.71, and the pressure angle ranges from 18 deg. to 24 deg..
