Cobalt dental alloy includes 15-35 wt.% of a precious metal. An Independent claim is also included for a dental prosthetic part blended with ceramic or plastic. Preferred Features: The precious metal is selected from platinum (Pt), ruthenium (Ru), rhodium (Rh), iridium (Ir) and palladium (Pd) so that Pd is always in a mixture with Pt, Ru, Rh and/or Ir. The amount of Pd is larger than the amount of the other precious metals. The alloy further contains 1-35, preferably 15-25, especially 17-20 wt.% chromium (Cr). The cobalt (Co) amount in the alloy is 40-70, preferably 45-55 wt.%.
