PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a cluster printing system comprising a plurality of imaging apparatus that the glossiness of a formed image is differentiated among different types of apparatus. SOLUTION: A mater unit in a cluster printing system forms a standard image on a recording medium and detects the glossiness information thereof before delivering it to a slave unit (S702, S703). Similarly, the slave unit detects its own glossiness information and performs gloss control based on the glossiness information of its own apparatus and the master unit (S706-S709) thus executing imaging (S170). Consequently, an image can be formed by the slave unit with a glossiness similar to that of the master unit. |
