POINTER ORIGIN DETECTING DEVICE OF ONBOARD ANALOG RADIO CLOCK AND ITS POINTER ORIGIN DETECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer origin detecting device and a method of an onboard analog radio clock capable of detecting the pointer origin without changing a movement. SOLUTION: A position detecting plate 4 rotates together with the minute hand. A sensor 12 outputs rotation of the position detecting plate 4 as a signal. This signal is taken in a microcomputer 16. A minute hand rotation calculating means in the microcomputer 16 calculates the number for rotating the minute hand required for moving the hour hand to the origin on the basis of storage of a storage means 18. A rapid traverse driving means rapidly traverses the minute hand on the basis of a calculated rotating speed. A rotation writing means writes the rotating speed one rotation by one rotation in the storage means 18. A rotation clearing means clears the storage means when determining that 12-rotation is attained.
