摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for hybridization where surface coverage rate and activity are improved and DNA chains are immobilized on the sub strate surface, to provide a manufacturing method of the substrate, and further to provide a complementary testing method using the substrate. SOLUTION: In the substrate for hybridization, a DNA chain having a double chain section and a single chain section is immobilized on the surface of a substrate, and the double change section side of the DNA chain is immobilized to the substrate surface. In the manufacturing method of the substrate, a double chain section and a single chain section are provided on the metal surface of a metal substrate or a substrate having a metal covering, a DNA chain having a thiol group is brought into contact with the end of the double chain section, and the DNA chain is immobilized on the metal surface. A method for testing the complementality of a target DNA with the single chain section of the DNA chain which has the target DNA, a double chain section and a single chain section by bringing the target DNA into contact with the surface where the DNA chain on the substrate is immobilized, is also provided.
