<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch device used together with sliding window and suspension window systems. SOLUTION: The latch device has a main body (10) and a latch element (11). The latch element (11) can be moved between a latch place where the latch element is projected from the main body (10) and a non-latch place where it is retracted into the main body. A sliding element (15) for a main body (14) is connected to a movable sub-housing (12), and the latch element (11) is shifted by the movement of the sub-housing (12) by the sliding element (15). The main body (10) can be inserted into the opening of a window partition, and snap- locked at a fixed place by the operation of a finger (26) and a face plate (18) working to the reverse side of the window partition adjacent to the opening. Accordingly, the latch device can be fixed into the window partition without adding a fastener.</p> |
