PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally developable photosensitive material giving a high contrast image of high maximum density with a slight change in image line width and little unevenness in density even by development in a humid environment. SOLUTION: In the thermally developable photosensitive material containing at least an organic silver salt, photosensitive silver halide, a reducer, a contrast enhancer and a binder on a support and having at least one imaging layer, a non-photosensitive layer of 2.8-8μm thickness is present on one side of the imaging layer remoter from the support and at least one layer formed by applying a coating liquid containing >=30 mass% organic solvent is present between the support and non-photosensitive layer.
