PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil passage for engine, capable of attaining relatively easy application to an engine with or without an oil cooler, and shortening the length of the passage. SOLUTION: A passage (28) with leads to an inlet of an main gallery and a passage (26) which leads to an outlet of an oil filter are located next to each other with a first partition (29) in between. The passage which leads to the inlet of the main gallery and a passage (top recess 31) which leads to an outlet of an oil cooler are located next to each other with a second partition (31B) in between. The passage which leads to the outlet of the oil filter and a passage (bottom recess 32) which leads to an inlet of the oil cooler are located next to each other with a third partition (32B) in between. At least part of the partitions is removed, and a passage (drilled hole 25) which directly leads to the oil filter and the main gallery and passages (drilled holes 36 and 37) which pass through the oil cooler are selectively formed between the oil filter and the main gallery.
