PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress loss of refrigerant at the minimum by promptly detecting leakage of the refrigerant in equipment in which a number of cooling apparatuses and a condensing unit are connected through refrigerant piping. SOLUTION: The system is provided with the condensing unit, and refrigerating-freezing show cases and prefabricated refrigerator-freezers, and all equipments are provided with refrigerant gas sensors S12 -S17 , respectively. Detection outputs of the sensors are transmitted to a centralized control unit 11. The unit 11 allows the detection level to be low in the condensing unit in which the refrigerant gas concentration hardly rises at the time of refrigerant leakage due to good ventilation, to be high in the prefabricated refrigerator- freezers in which the concentration of the refrigerant gas immediately rises at the time of refrigerant leakage because their compartments are tightly closed, and to be the middle of these two in the show cases. In the case where the concentration detected by the sensors S12 -S17 exceeds the individual detection levels, warning is given.
