PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice making device capable of making it easy to gather water containing mineral and gas components in ice making blocks on one side, and to provide a refrigerator-freezer. SOLUTION: In the ice making device, a blowing mechanism which supplies warm air at a prescribed blowing angle to the ice making blocks is provided and a communicating part through which the water in the adjacent ice making blocks can go and come between them is formed in an ice making tray, while lateral walls in the upper parts of the blocks are formed in such a shape, e.g. a substantial octagon that makes it easy for the water flowing in the communicating part to move along them. Accordingly, the water near the lateral walls goes and comes easily through the communicating part along the flow thereof caused by the warm air sent from the blowing mechanism, and thus the water containing the mineral and gas components and being resistant to freeze is easily collected to the side of the ice making blocks located in the direction of blowing the warm air. Therefore, the ice on the side opposite to the ice making blocks in the direction of blowing the warm air can be made transparent substantially.
