PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false-twisted yarn having stretchability, elastic recovery and soft touch, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This false-twisted yarn comprising a polyester-based multifilament yarn is characterized in that the filaments are the side-by-side type conjugate fibers of polytrimethylene terephthalate A and polyethylene terephthalate B. The method for producing the false-twisted yarn is characterized by false-twisting a polyester-based multifilament yarn comprising the side- by-side type filaments of the polytrimethylene terephthalate A and the polyethylene terephthalate B at a heater temperature of 150 to 200 deg.C.
