MULTIPURPOSE MAN-MADE REEF AND ITS CONSTRUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipurpose man-made reef having a function as a final disposal site for industrial waste without any deterioration in an original function as the man-made reef. SOLUTION: A wave-absorbing structural body 3 is constructed by arranging hollow wave-absorbing blocks 2 on a rubble-mound 1 constructed by throwing stones onto a sea bottom. Subsequently, an improver prepared by mixing a hydraulic solidification agent in seawater-insoluble construction waste material, construction surplus soil, and coal ash is thrown into a calm sea area behind the wave-absorbing structural body 3, and a deposit layer 4 of these materials is formed. In this way, the reef is formed of the wave-absorbing structural body 3 and the industrial waste deposit layer 4 integrated together.
