Production of propylene oxide comprises: (a) reaction of propene with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in solvent in the presence of a catalyst to produce a mixture of propylene oxide, solvent, unreacted propene and H2O2 and oxygen; (b) separation of propylene oxide from the mixture to leave a mixture (M1) containing unreacted propene and oxygen; and (c) utilization of (M1).
