<p>When performing two-dimensional spreading in the frequency axis direction and in the time axis direction, one-dimensional orthogonal variable spread factor (OVSF) built by a code tree is spread into two dimensions so as to be simultaneously applied to the frequency axis direction and the time axis direction. For example, in the two-dimensional spreading section (1-1 to 1-8), firstly, the transmission data is spread by one-dimensional OVSF code (given by a frequency axis direction OVSF code assigning section (11)) in the frequency axis direction and the result is further spread by one-dimensional OVSF code (given by a time axis direction OVSF code assigning section (13) and selected independently of the frequency axis direction) in the time axis direction.</p> |
