The device has an energy source (1) brought into close alignment with the ultrasonic solder bolt (2,5) provided with one or more sonotrodes (4), for providing an ultrasonic effect for exerting a fixing force (3) in the direction of the surface (7) on which the bolt is placed. An Independent claim for a placement method for an ultrasonic solder bolt is also included.
