PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease in a whiteness under a high-temperature condition, to enhance a stability of a recording image under the same condition and to also allow the image and a skin part to hardly discolor or fade even when they are exposed to an NOx, an SOx or the like. SOLUTION: A heat-sensitive recording medium comprises a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a colorless or pale basic dye and a colorant capable of coloring by bringing the colorant into contact with the dye. In this medium, as the colorant, a 4-methyl-2,4-bis(p-hydroxyphenyl)-penta-1-en is used. The recording layer contains a specific phenol compound represented by formula (1) or the like. |
