PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated stainless steel sheet, which has superior press formability, a mold galling preventive property, and further a press scum restraining property, and further which does not generate smoke or odor in a welding operation, even with a little coating weight. SOLUTION: The coated stainless steel sheet provided with a film, composed of lithium silicate as a film component and a blended lubricant, on at least one surface, is characterized in that the Li content in lithium silicate is in a range of Li/Si of 0.2-0.7 by atom ratio, that the lubricant is in a range, by mass ratio, of (total mass of lubricant)/(mass of lithium silicate)=0.3-1.8, that the lubricant comprises a lubricant 1 selected from metal soaps, and a lubricant 2 selected from waxes while satisfying (mass of the lubricant 1)/(mass of the lubricant 2)=0.4-4.5, and that the lubricant 2 has a particle diameter of 1.0μm or less.
