PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptor capable of performing the repairing and exchanging work of watthour meter without stopping power supply. SOLUTION: The adaptor comprises an adaptor body B attached to an input side covered conductor 14a and an output side covered conductor connecting to the watthour meter, a lid plate 16 detachably attached to the adaptor body and a connector device. The adaptor body is constituted of a pair of separable half bodies 1a and 1b and is provided with a groove for pinching the each covered conductor on the facing half bodies. It is formed to attach the adaptor body to the covered conductor by fitting the covered conductor in the groove 2 and tightening with tightening tools 15 such as bolts. During an exchanging work of the watthour meter, the lid plate 16 is removed and the connector is attached. The connector device is provided with a plurality of connectors for short-circuiting and disconnecting conductor plates at the same pole contained in the adaptor body to each other and a moving means for moving the contactors to short-circuit positions and disconnection positions.
