PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to maintain high hydrophilicity on the surface of a bath-room mirror while easily restoring the hydrophilicity when stain adheres. SOLUTION: On the surface of the bath-room mirror 10, a thin film 1 having high resistance to an aqueous alkaline solution and a thin film 2 having low resistance to the aqueous alkaline solution are laminate in this order from the surface of the mirror. When the aqueous alkaline solution prepared with such pH that erodes only the thin film 2 but does not erode the thin film 1 is applied on the thin film 2 with adhered stain, only the thin film 2 having lower alkali resistance than the thin film 1 is eroded and exfoliated from the surface of the bath-room mirror 10. Then the thin film 1 without adhered stain is newly exposed and the hydrophilicity on the mirror surface can be easily restored.
