PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform smooth image processing by drastically reducing burden of paper feeding/ejecting control of a printer controller. SOLUTION: This constitution is characterized in that the printer controller 201 allocates a series of paper feeding part numbers and paper ejecting part numbers to paper feeding parts and paper ejecting parts existing in plurality within an image recording system, notifies them to each device, allocates a series of paper numbers to each paper to be printed, chooses the paper feeding part and the paper ejecting part for this series of paper numbers and notifies the series of paper numbers and reservation of paper setting information including the paper feeding number of the paper feeding part and paper ejecting number of the paper ejecting part chosen respectively for the series of paper numbers to each device whether it is chosen or not, and the reserved paper feeding device 102 controls paper feeding action based on the paper setting information sent from the printer controller 201, while a reserved sorter 103 controls paper ejecting action based on the paper setting information sent from the printer controller 201.
