Method and apparatus for resource allocation in network router and switch

摘要

A router system for dynamically allocating resources to enable provision of different levels of service in a network is described. The router includes a flow control table which stores entries that include source and destination addresses and priority information for each address. The priority information enables the provision of multiple different priorities to provide different qualities of service to different users of the network.
