Preparations whereby gastric pH value can be conveniently and noninvasively measured, for example, preparations whereby gastric pH value can be measured by using expiration. These preparations can be obtained by coating a composition containing a compound labeled with an isotope (<13>C, <14>C, <15>N, <18>O, etc.) with a base having a pH-dependent solubility.
