PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which can record and reproduce in high density information by irradiating with a laser beam having a short wavelength of a wavelength of 440 nm or less and which has excellent recording characteristics. SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium comprises an amorphous recording layer capable of recording information by irradiating with the laser beam having the wavelength of 440 nm or less on a substrate. In this medium, the recording layer gas at least one absorption maximum in a short wavelength region of the laser beam wavelength or less, and a wavelength (λm ) of the absorption maximum of the longest wavelength is in a range of 340 to 400 nm. |
