PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fusion joint capable of easily discriminating a synthetic resin pipe capable of performing electrical fusion without scraping and capable of drastically reducing labor for electric fusion work. SOLUTION: A core 17 is detachably fitted in a socket 13 of this electric fusion joint wherein a heating wire 12 is buried. An outside diameter of the core 17 is smaller than an inside diameter of the resin pipe before a predetermined period passes after producing of the resin pipe 15 to be connected, and is larger than the inside diameter of the resin pipe shrunk when the predetermined time passes after production.
