PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sheath/core knitted yarns free from possibility of disintegrating the sheath weave in a chain reaction manner even in case part of yarns constituting the sheath weave is broken, having such strong binding force between the sheath weave and core yarns that the core yarns neither accidentally slip off nor go out of place, and having such high versatility and decorativeness as to represent various variations in the sheath weave appearance design, and to provide a reasonable knitting method for the above yarns. SOLUTION: This knitting method comprises the steps of forming a sheath part by layeredly winding a plurality of warps, while warp-knitting them, around a core part comprising at least one warp and, concurrently, interlacedly knitting as appropriate the warp(s) constituting the core part on the warps constituting the sheath part to fix both the core part and sheath part together.
