PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black perylene-based pigment having excellent black degree, excellent heat resistance, excellent weather resistance, high resistance and high safety. SOLUTION: This black perylene-based pigment is obtained by calcining at least one compound selected from perylenetetracarboxylic acid diimide derivatives and perylenediminodicarboxylic acid diimide derivatives in vacuum or an inert gas atmosphere at a temperature of 200 to 600 deg.C.
