RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE TREAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire tread improving the skid resistance (antiskid performance) on the ice/now-covered road and keeping the high abrasion resistance of the tread rubber. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a rubber polymer component comprising a diene rubber with 0.5-20 pt(s).wt. of Y-type zeolite or mordenite and 3-30 pts.wt. of walnut shell powder.
