MAIN ROPE MOVING DEVICE FOR ELEVATOR, METHOD FOR REMOVING MAIN ROPE USING THE SAME, AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING NEW MAIN ROPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safely in replacement work for a main rope 10 in an elevator, and to prevent contamination of working wear by oil infiltrated in the main rope. SOLUTION: A drive roller 33 is applied to a side surface of the main rope 10 suspending a car 11 on one side and a balance weight 12 on the other side, and a rotatable pressure roller 44 is provided at a facing position to the drive roller 33 through the main rope 10. The drive roller 33 is rotated as the pressure roller 44 and the drive roller 33 are applied to the main rope 10 under pressure, so that the main rope 10 is reversibly moved, thereby the main rope 10 is replaced.
