PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the perfect sealing function even in the case where load is locally and strongly applied to a sealing lip. SOLUTION: A weather strip for sealing a clearance of edge parts between car body members, especially a clearance of edge parts between an edge of a cover inserted into a roof opening part and a fixed roof, has a base body 15 connected to one of car body members 10 for fixation and a sealing lip 16 projecting from the base body 10 so as to secure a seal groove 17 and abutting on other car body member, and the seal groove 17 is provided with support webs 18, which are integrally formed with the sealing lip 16 and the base body 15, with a space in the vertical direction. In this weather strip, each support web 18 has a predetermined bending part, and when the force for compressing the groove 17 at a right angle to the groove 17 between the sealing lip 16 and the base body 15 is led into the sealing lip 16, the support webs 18 are bent around the predetermined bending part without being compressed. |
