PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein no bubble is produced in the inner part of a polarizing plate and the polarizing plate never peels off, even under the condition of a high temperature and high humidity and even when the glass of a counter substrate or a TFT substrate is chipped, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal display panel wherein a liquid crystal material is enclosed between a pair of substrates and the polarizing plate adhering to at least one surface of the liquid crystal display panel, at least one corner part of the polarizing plate is cut off and the section of the cut-off part is constituted of an inclined face 20 formed so that the surface area of an adhesive face 22 is larger than the surface area of a non-adhesive face 21. |
