<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pump up, store and drain water in a pipe system. SOLUTION: In the water pipe system, a tube is raised in a lower tank. A water storage chamber is formed at an upper part of the tube. An exhaust pipe is attached on the same. When air is evacuated by a vacuum pump, water in the lower water tank is pushed by atmospheric pressure to rise to the upper water storage tank and be stored in the same. There is a lower water storage chamber having a tube connected below the upper water storage tank. When a valve (spherical) separating both chambers is opened after evacuating air in the lower water storage tank, water drops. Since the lower water storage chamber is sealed, water remains therein. Then, the spherical valve is closed, a ventilation valve of the lower water storage chamber is opened and a water drain opening is opened, the water therein is drained. Water is drained in two stages. Water does not drain continuously but fixed quantity of water surely drains with a time delay. This device is called as the pumping and draining machine pumping and draining water in pulse.</p> |
