PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicator for detecting alcohol easily and inexpensively at a fast discoloration speed by using dichromate, an oxidation-reduction coloring matter, and a solvent. SOLUTION: This alcohol indicator is characterized in tabletting an alcohol indicator comprising 1.0 pts.wt. of potassium dichromate, 5.0 pts.wt. of diphenyl amine 1% sulphuric acid solution as an oxidation-reduction coloring matter, 75 pts.wt. of cellulose as a binder, 20 pts.wt. of water, and 0.1 pts.wt. red grade 106 as a coloring agent.
