PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain interknitted fabrics in inserting a rubber yarn only to any one of courses of an interknitted fabric of thick yarn and thin yarn and in the case of not inserting the rubber yarn to the course and to provide methods for producing them. SOLUTION: This interknitted fabric 1 is obtained by alternately knitting a course using the thick yarn 4 and a course using the thin yarn 5 and inserting the rubber yarn G into a course C1 of the thick yarn 4. This interknitted fabric is obtained by alternately knitting the course using the thick yarn and the course using the thin yarn and not inserting the rubber yarn into the course. This method for producing the interknitted fabric 1 comprises knitting by a rib knitter, using a thick knitting yarn 4 in a first yarn feeder and a thin knitting yarn 5 in a second yarn feeder to form an interknitted weave B at each course and inserting the rubber yarn G into any course C1.
