PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating arthritis (including chronic rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis) containing DMARD and a cytokine production inhibitor represented by a specific chemical structural formula as active ingredients. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for prevention or treatment of arthritis which is useful in administering both of DMARD and a compound represented by the general formula (I) [A is a trivalent group derived from optionally substituted pyrimidine, pyrrole or the like; R<1> is an optionally substituted aryl or heteroaryl group; R<2> is optionally substituted heteroaryl; and R<3> is indolizine or the like] or a pharmacologically acceptable salt, ester or other derivative thereof simultaneously or separately or at a time interval.
