PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the direct pressure type electromotive mold clamping device of an injection molding machine capable of reducing the bending of a moving die plate at the time of mold clamping to enhance mold clamping accuracy to enable stable precise molding and capable of extending the life of a mold. SOLUTION: The direct pressure type electromotive mold clamping device is equipped with a fixed die plate (3) for holding a fixed mold (5), a support plate (7) arranged so as to be opposed to the fixed die plate, the screw shafts (11) of a plurality of ball screws held between the fixed die plate and the support plate in a freely rotatable manner, the holding plate (2) having the nuts (12) of the ball screws fixed thereto and arranged between the fixed die plate and the support plate so as to be able to advance and retreat, the movable die plate (4) connected to the holding plate (2) through a load cell (15) and opposed to the fixed die plate to hold a movable mold (6) and a motor (20) for rotating the screw shafts of a plurality of the ball screws in a mutually synchronizing state.
