The metal layer is dissolved from the substrate to obtain the textured strip (4a). An Independent claim is also included for a device for producing a textured metal strip comprising a drive unit for a textured substrate endless strip assigned to a galvanic bath. Preferred Features: The substrate is made from electrically non-conducting material having an electrically conducting surface. The substrate is made from a metal.
