<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection structure of an optical fiber array, that facilitates attachment/detachment of the array relative to an optical circuit unit and that requires only exchanging of the array when nonconformities occur. SOLUTION: At both ends 3a, 3b of the exterior case 2 of a wave director 1, there are formed insertion holes 6, 7 for engaging an optical fiber array (the array) 11. With the array 11 engaged with the inserting holes 6, 7, the array 11 is fixed mechanically in the inserting holes 6, 7. Simultaneously, a state is formed, in which the tip end 14b of each coated optical fiber 14a of the array 11 is optically connected to the external connecting end of a built-in waveguide 3.</p> |
