PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for continuously manufacturing a sheet of food into strips or dices while preventing adhesion to blades, irregularity of cut surfaces, deformation, the generation of chips, and the like. SOLUTION: The sheet of food 10 is transferred between an approximately cylindrical rotating-blade unit 20 having on the same axis a plurality of thin, disc-shaped rotating blades 23 having pointed ends and an approximately cylindrical roll unit 30 having recess grooves 33 in the form of a ring at positions corresponding to the tips of the rotating blades, which recess grooves are away from and surround the tips. The sheet of food is cut by the rotating blades into strips and a comb-shaped discharge scraper 40 having protrusions 41 provided in positions opposite to the recess grooves is used for discharging the strips of food as the strips of food are separated from the rotating blades.
