<p>A method for producing a motor having a stator prepared by inserting a coil in a slot arranged on an inner circumferential surface of a ring-shaped motor core. The method includes a coil forming step and a coil insertion step. The coil forming step forms a coil including a single-pole coil having two coil insertion portions to be inserted into the slot and two coil end portions arranged outside the motor core so as to connect the coil insertion portions. During the coil insertion step, the single-pole coil is held by coil holding means arranged inside the motor core, during or after the coil formation step, and the single-pole coil is arranged so that the coil insertion portions face the slot inner circumferential opening and are substantially parallel to the axis direction of the motor core. The single-pole coil is removed from the coil holding means while being moved toward the motor core substantially rectilinearly, thereby inserting the coil insertion portions of the single-pole coil into the slot.</p> |
