<p>A liquid-gas contact apparatus in which liquid (30) permeates a plurality of barrier walls from the outer circumferential surface side of a honeycomb structure (10) of porous material having a plurality axially-passing-through distribution holes (14) defined by the plurality of barrier walls and gas (40) flows through the distribution holes (14). Since the liquid permeates the plurality of barrier walls by capillarity from the outer circumferential surface side of the honeycomb structure and vaporization latent heat generated through contact of the gas and liquid is utilized, thermal efficiency is enhanced and the liquid-gas contact apparatus can be made simple and compact.</p> |
