<p>A system and method for monitoring a pressure reduction device are provided. The system includes a release sensor (16) that provides an indication when the pressure reduction device (14) activates. A wireless transmitter (18) is connected to the release sensor and sends a wireless transmission having an activation signal when the indication is provided by the release sensor.
