PURPOSE: A priming pump of a diesel engine is provided to smoothly reciprocate a piston in the priming pump by forming a lever between a piston and a handle. CONSTITUTION: In a priming pump(70) of a diesel engine, the front sectional area of a pressure transferring chamber(72) is larger than the rear(72b) sectional area on which a piston(71) is disposed. A connecting rod(73) of the piston is connected to a lever(80). One end of the lever is coupled to one side wall(74) of a body by a hinge(81). The other end of the lever is coupled to a push rod(76) of a handle(75) by the hinge.
