PURPOSE: A vibration reduction apparatus is provided to prevent deterioration of color purity and improve screen quality by rapidly damping the vibration of the shadow mask caused due to the impact applied to the shadow mask. CONSTITUTION: A vibration reduction apparatus comprises a flat panel; a shadow mask(18) arranged at the inner surface of the panel; a mask frame(14) for applying a tension force to the shadow mask and supporting the shadow mask; and one or more damper wires(30) for preventing vibration of the shadow mask. The damper wire contacts the shadow mask so as to receive the tension force in a shorter side direction of the shadow mask, and has both ends attached to the mask frame. Each damper wire is spaced apart from a center line of the shadow mask.
