PURPOSE: An exhaust device for a microwave oven used as a hood is provided to reduce the noise caused by the unnecessary rotation of an exhaust fan motor by controlling the rotary speed of the exhaust fan motor by multi-steps according to the amount of gas. CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor outputs a signal for sensing the temperature of food. A control unit outputs a control signal to operate an exhaust fan motor(350) according to the sensed temperature. A motor drive unit controls the power supply according to the control signal, and controls the rotary speed of the exhaust fan motor by multi-steps.
