PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curved-face polishing system which keeps high machining accuracy, reduces considerably the number of modifying polishing times which is necessary to obtain the accuracy and drastically improves performance of polishing finishing. SOLUTION: The curved-face polishing system is applied to polish processed faces of a metal mold or the like. An area on a polishing section 56 which makes contact with a surface to be polished is lit and at least one color information among the lightness, hue and saturation of the area is taken in a color sensor section from the reflected light. According to the color information which is taken in, a polishing tool control section 54 modifies the polishing condition as to the depth of removal successively using a data base 55.
