PURPOSE: A system for storing and transmitting a medical image having a temporary storage and a method for transmitting the medical image using the same are provided to reduce the system load of the medical image storing and transmitting system and to prevent the system down. CONSTITUTION: The image information generating part(210,212,214) generates the image information. The generated image information is stored in a database(230) and transmits to the terminals(280,282,284) through a network(150). The terminals(280,282,283) store the information image in respective temporary storages(290,292,294). In case that the terminal requests the same image information, the image information is directly read from the temporary storages(290,292,294) without reading the image information from the database(230). The temporary storages(290,292,294) operate like a cache memory of computer hardware. |
