APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling operation of reciprocating compressor is provided to cut off momentary over voltage. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus includes cut-off devices to cut off over voltage momentarily loaded on a motor(M) and a triac(Tr1). The cut-off devices are varistors electrically non-conductor but suddenly changed into conductor when loaded voltage exceeds fixed value and are connected parallel to the motor, a capacitor(C) offsetting inductance of a coil wound around the motor and the triac to protect the motor, the capacitor and the triac from momentary over voltage, respectively.
