PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifter which can smoothly scoop up medals stored in a medal reservoir. SOLUTION: This lifter 1 is equipped with a belt pulley 14 which is set at a location being eccentric from the center of the arc of a medal storage surface 20a so that the tip of a bridge 18 may most approach the medal storage surface 20a on the non-throw-in side wherein a ring-form belt 16 moves downward rather than at the lowermost point of the medal storage surface 20a. For the lifter 1, the bridge 18 is shifted to the non-throw-in side from the lowermost point of the medal storage surface 20a, and when passing on the top of the medal storage surface 20a, the bridge 18 has already started separating from the medal storage surface 20a. Therefore, by using the lifter 1, medals M stored in the medal reservoir 20 can be smoothly scooped up without pinching the medals M in a space between the bridge 18 and the metal storage surface 20a.
